Artist's Statement
About a year ago, I stumbled upon my first Dances of Vice party, having no idea what to expect.
I walked in, and the first thing I saw was a woman who looked like she had just stepped out of the court of Louis XIV. My portrait photographers heart skipped a few beats, I started taking pictures, and never stopped.
These people are defined, at least at these events, by the external. I believe this is an external expression of something true and authentic that I have tried to crystalize in my images.
