Melissa Levow
Biography
A native New Yorker, with a lifelong interest in taking pictures, Melissa Levow has been a member of the NYC Photo Club for three years. During that time, she has expanded her knowledge of photography from going to the club's monthly meetings, talking with her colleagues and attending workshops, for all of which she is very thankful.

Artist's Statement
The photos represent Melissa's love of the New York City outdoors. She photographed "To the Lighthouse" on one of her many bike rides from downtown Manhattan to the George Washington Bridge. The lighthouse was memorialized in a 1942 children's book titled, "The Little Red Lighthouse and the Great Gray Bridge." The Hudson River is also featured in "Golden Leaves" shot on a lunch hour at Robert Wagner Park in lower Manhattan where Melissa enjoys watching the boats and looking across the river to the Statue of Liberty.
