Biography
Even as a child, I appreciated the world of film, amazed by how one could capture pure emotion in a single frame. At thirteen, I began discovering a new world as I lifted up my first camera. It was amazing knowing that this little magical box could show people my world. Coming out at fifteen, my eyes and lens became open to new views as I began to witness the ugly and beautiful sides of life.

Artist's Statement
The photograph is a statement of how the photographer views the world. In my "Reflections" collection, I strive to break the gender normalities and show raw emotion. Gender seems to be a word that tries to force us to conform to someone whom we may not be. In "Reflection of Hope" I also try to show hope--hope for a better tomorrow, and hope for a day where one can be themselves and feel accepted.
